A. Lange & Söhne's Double Split, which debuted in 2004, is the first flyback chronograph wristwatch featuring a double rattrapante mechanism in history. Two of the four chronograph hands on the watch are programmed to a special 30-minute register. Even more remarkable than this is the fact that both the rattrapante and chronograph hands are fly back hands. Unlike other split seconds chronographs, the Double Split lets the user measure and compare time intervals of up to 30 minutes, rather than only a maximum of 60 seconds.
