The 2021 Laurent Ferrier Classic Micro-Rotor Revolution & The Rake is a modern interpretation of a vintage watch featuring a sector, or scientific, dial. It has an exquisite salmon-toned dial with an opaline finish behind the chemin de fer and a sunburst finish in the center set on a 40mm stainless steel case (10.70mm thin). Next, the hour circle, chemin de fer, petite seconds subdial, and slate grey logo decals comprise the pronounced sector dial. The enormous applied Breguet numerals on the 12, 3, and 9-hour markers are made of solid gold appliques that have been treated with ruthenium to blend in with the other components of the dial.
With a micro-rotor and natural escapement, the self-winding FBN 229.01 calibre Laurent Ferrier Classic Micro-Rotor Revolution & The Rake is the ultimate watch. Abraham-Louis Breguet, the father of modern horology, served as the inspiration for the movement's unique double direct-impulse escapement in silicon, which is where the movement's brilliance begins. Because of this escapement's exceptional efficiency, the micro-rotor automatic timepiece operates more efficiently because less torque is needed to wind its mainspring.
