Maximilian Büsser, the founder of MB&F, has been crafting otherworldly timepieces for the past 16 years. However, Max has also been experimenting with a side project for a while: making a more approachable device, under a different name, but always with the insane MB&F touch. The outcome is "M.A.D.1".
Turned upside-down as a tribute to MB&F's HM3 and HM8, the M.A.D.1's fully visible triple-blade, titanium and tungsten rotor winds one of the few automatic movements with unidirectional winding (crucial for an easy, high-speed rotation), the dependable Miyota 821A. Revolving hour and minute cylinders that are etched and enhanced with Super-LumiNova allow for the lateral display of time.
