The magnificent bidirectional 22kt yellow gold rotor of the Audemars Piguet Millenary 4101 Automatic watch is one of its most striking features. Of course, with the AP logo smack dab in the center of the rotor and the family crests on either side, it's bound to go down in watchmaking history. Ceramic ball bearings that require no oil enable the rotor to rotate.
The entire Audemars Piguet Caliber 4101 movement is layered with layers of parts that create a multi-dimensional circus of highlights and shadows, giving the movement the appearance of practically jumping out of the case back. The movement is exquisitely decorated with the Cotes de Geneva radial brushed pattern finish.
The dial of the absolutely gorgeous AP Millenary 4101 is even more mesmerizing than the case back. The dial is right-aligned, it has polished and skeletonized rose gold hands and uses Roman numerals in an asymmetrical warped perspective.
