Description

At the heart of this timepiece lies the rattrapante, also known as the split-seconds chronograph, which is driven by the caliber OP XVIII and is based on the ETA 7750. In contrast to a standard chronograph that can only measure a single event, a rattrapante enables the recording of multiple intervals that commence simultaneously but conclude at different times, such as laps during a race. To facilitate this function, rattrapante chronographs are fitted with an additional seconds hand, referred to as the rattrapante hand, positioned either above or below the main chronograph hand. When the chronograph pusher is activated, both hands move in unison. However, upon engaging the rattrapante pusher, the rattrapante hand will halt.
