Description

One of the most complicated timepieces Patek Philippe makes, the Ref. 5207P combines a minute repeater, instantaneous perpetual calendar as well as a tourbillon, inside a platinum case with hand-engraving on its flanks. The Ref. 5207P really is a grand complication.

The Caliber R TO 27 PS QI inside is actually based on the movement developed for the Ref. 5016 in the early nineties, but with a newly developed instantaneous perpetual calendar plate replacing the retrograde perpetual calendar of the 5016. Unlike most perpetual calendars that have a dragging display, the 5207P has an instantaneous jump. That means that all the appropriate calendar indications jump exactly at midnight, taking just a few hundredths of a second to change.

The Patek Philippe Reference 5207P is an incredibly rare, ultra-luxury watch that stands as one of the brand's ultimate mechanical achievements. Launched in 2008 and discontinued in 2015, it was created for elite collectors throughout the world.
